Dantewada Land of Angels (flower garden with waterfall) 

Distance = 10km / 15 min.

Pine Forest (Suan Son) สวนผลิตเมล็ดพันธุ์ไม้สนสองใบ - A local picture spot. 

Distance 15km ( 20 min). 

Wat Ban Den (or Wat Ban Densalee) (วัดเด่นสะหลีศรีเมืองแกน)  Largest Temple in the area.

Distance = 6 km/ 10 min. 

Pangpao Beach. A beach theme restaurant with sand, coconut trees, and bar.

Distance = 21km (30 min)

Mae Ngat Dam is part of the Sri Lanna National Park. Distance 4km/ 8 min

Scenic cafe and restaurant on the rapids of the Mae Taeng River. Stay Wild & Cafe to Le Cocotier, via road 3052 = 30 km / 45 minutes

Chiang Dao Caves and Buddhist sanctuary. Distance 45 km (1 hour)

Phrao 

A district located between Chiang Dao and Chiang Rai. Distance from Phrao center is 60 km / 1 hour, to/from Le Cocotier, via road 1001.

Phrao district has a hot spring and some cave Temple Wat Tham Dok Kham, Cave Temple, Phrao Town วัดถ้ำดอกคำ.

A nice day trip if you loop back via Chiang Dao.

Accessible from two roads (can do a loop)

ไร่ชาลุงเดช Mueang Kai, Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Via 3052 to join 1095 to Mae Malai = 39 km / 1 hour via Sopkai (small winding road 3052), Muang Kut, Mae Taman = 41 km / 1h15

A long, narrow winding mountain road for experienced drivers! paved all the way.

Phrao district, Wat Doi Mae Peng (วัดดอยแม่ปั๋ง) 

Luang Pu Waen Su Chin No Museum

Phrao district. 

Distance from Le Cocotier is 42km (45 min).

Mok Fah Waterfall (Part of Doi Suthep National Park) Very cool waterfall with a large spot to swim. During the rainy season the site might be closed. Entrance fees: foreigners adults 100 baht. Children 50B. 30 baht for the car. 20 Baht for moto/scooter.

Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station

สถานีเกษตรหลวงอ่างขาง

Scenic mountain drive, with some very steep sections. The Botanical garden is fabulous. Restaurant but no accommodations. There is a campsite  in the National Park

Distance from Le Cocotier = 130 km 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours, most of it is a mountainous scenic road.

Pai town is located in Mae Hong Son province.

Popular destination with a wide range of homestay, hotels, restaurants and things to do an see.

Distance 110km, driving time 2 1/2 hours straight.

Via the Pai, on road 1095.

Winding road with sharp bends and steep hills.

Mae Hong Son town.

Distance 220km, driving time 4 1/2 hours straight.

Via the Pai, on road 1095.

Winding road with sharp bends and steep hills. Peaceful city and a good stop on the MHS loop.

Huai Nam Dang National Park

Distance 80km, driving time 2 hours. Winding road with sharp bends and steep hills. Via the Pai road 1095.

A nice stop on your way to Pai. The national park charges an entrance fee. 300 Baht for foreigners.

CAVE LOD - SOPPONG

(also called Tham Lod)

Distance 160km, driving time 3 1/2 hours.

Via the Pai road  1095. Winding road with sharp bends and steep hills. Impressive caves well worth the stop on the Mae Hong Son loop.
